Amtrak is rolling out a summer deal just in time for the unofficial start of the season. The popular Auto Train service, which shuttles passengers and their vehicles between Lorton, Virginia, and Sanford, Florida, is offering discounted fares starting at $75 for coach seats. This deal is valid for travel between May 24 and September 2, with bookings open until July 31.

The Auto Train service is a unique offering from Amtrak, allowing travelers to bring their vehicles along for the journey, whether it’s a car, motorcycle, or even a Jet Ski. Kids aged 2 to 12 can ride for free in both coach and first class using the promo code “C521.”

To take advantage of this deal, travelers can book through Amtrak’s sale page using the designated code. Reservations must be made at least three days before travel, and no upgrades are allowed. The discounted fares do not permit changes and incur a 25% fee for canceling before departure.

In addition to the ticket price, passengers will need to pay an additional fee based on the size of their vehicle. For a standard vehicle, the fee is $570. Carry-on requirements still apply, allowing travelers to bring one personal item and two carry-on items.

This deal is a great opportunity for those looking to travel between Lorton and Sanford this summer. With limited availability, travelers are encouraged to book early to secure their spot on the Auto Train. Don’t miss out on this chance to explore the East Coast with the convenience of bringing your vehicle along for the ride.
