Times Higher Education to collaborate with Education World Forum

Times Higher Education (THE) has made a significant announcement that it will be acquiring the Education World Forum (EWF), the largest gathering of education and skills ministers worldwide. The deal was revealed during the open plenary of the 2024 EWF, being held at the QEII Centre in London, with UK education secretary Gillian Keegan scheduled to deliver the opening address.

Established in 2004 by Charles Clarke, the former UK education secretary, the Education World Forum has grown to host 120 education and skills ministers in 2023, with even higher attendance expected this year. The event, now organized by Dominic Savage, features three days of sessions with policymakers and experts, including sessions led by ministers themselves to address common issues and challenges in education.

The Education World Forum will now become part of THE’s portfolio of events for education leaders, joining the World Summit Series and Global Sustainable Development Congress. EWF’s director, Mr. Savage, and program director Gavin Dykes will continue with the company under its new ownership.

The acquisition follows THE’s recognition with the prestigious King’s Awards for Enterprise in the international trade category, highlighting the company’s growth into a global higher education business.
