Timmons Shows Strong Performance at Cragun’s Boys Golf Tournament – Brainerd Dispatch

Brainerd’s Marty Timmons showcased his golfing prowess at the Brainerd Boys Invite on Tuesday, May 28, at Cragun’s Legacy Courses. With three birdies under his belt, Timmons secured the top spot with a 2-over, 72, marking his second win at Cragun’s this season.

The Brainerd White team emerged victorious with a team score of 300. Brady Oseland led the team with a solid performance, carding a 74, followed by Drew Haakonson with a 76 and Trey Hendrickson with a 78.

Oseland and Haakonson, who finished third and fifth respectively, also impressed with three birdies each, while Hendrickson collected two birdies during the tournament.

On the other hand, Brainerd’s Blue team finished fourth with a total score of 322. Ryan Madsen led the Blue team with a score of 79, followed by Jack Hagberg with an 80, Ryan Gerlich with an 81, and Alex Imgrund with an 82.

Overall team scores for the event were as follows: 1-Brainerd White 300, 2-Detroit Lakes 307, 3-Bemidji 316, 4-Brainerd Blue 322, 5-Moorhead 324, 6-Academy of Holy Angels 326, 7-STMA 329, 8-Rocori 355, 9-St. Cloud 364, 10-Zimmerman 377.

The next challenge for the Brainerd team is the Section 8-3A First Round at Headwaters Golf Course in Park Rapids on Thursday, May 30. With their recent success, the team is poised for another strong showing in the upcoming competition.
