Tom Aspinall accuses Jon Jones of causing delays, responds to UFC 304 interim title defense

Tom Aspinall, the interim heavyweight champion of the UFC, is gearing up for a highly anticipated rematch against Curtis Blaydes in the co-main event of UFC 304 in Manchester, England on July 27. Aspinall recently addressed fans who have been questioning his role in the lack of movement in the heavyweight division.

In a video on his YouTube channel, Aspinall made it clear that he is not the one holding things up in the division. He expressed his eagerness to get back in the octagon and continue fighting, emphasizing that he is ready to take on any opponent.

The current hold-up in the division seems to be due to former champion Jon Jones, who has been sidelined with injuries but is eyeing a rebooking with Stipe Miocic. Aspinall acknowledged the situation with Jones but remains focused on his upcoming rematch with Blaydes.

Blaydes holds the only victory over Aspinall in the octagon, albeit due to an injury stoppage in their previous bout. Aspinall sees the rematch as an opportunity for payback and is fully committed to putting in the work during training camp.

While a fight with Jones may not be on the immediate horizon, Aspinall is excited about the prospect of facing Blaydes once again. With his sights set on defending his interim title, Aspinall is determined to give his all in preparation for the highly anticipated rematch.
