Top Executive Confirms Realme’s Development of 300W Fast-Charging Technology

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Realme is set to revolutionize the smartphone industry once again with its upcoming 300W fast charging technology. The Chinese tech brand, known for its innovative approach to mobile technology, is gearing up to launch new smartphone models with lightning-fast charging capabilities.

In a recent interview with The Tech Chap on YouTube, Francis Wong, CEO of Realme Europe and Global Marketing Director, confirmed that the company is currently testing 300W charging technology. This move comes in response to the competition from rival brands like Xiaomi, who have already showcased their own 300W fast charging technology.

Xiaomi demonstrated its 300W charging technology last year, filling a 4,100mAh battery in less than five minutes. Realme, on the other hand, currently offers 240W charging in its Realme GT Neo 5 model, boasting impressive charging speeds that can fill the battery from zero to 100 percent in less than 10 minutes.

The Realme GT Neo 5, priced at CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 39,000), features a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, and a triple rear camera setup. With the introduction of 300W charging technology in upcoming models, Realme aims to set a new standard for fast charging in the smartphone industry.

As the competition heats up in the race for faster charging speeds, consumers can expect to see even more impressive advancements in charging technology from brands like Realme and Xiaomi in the near future. Stay tuned for the latest updates on the evolution of fast charging in smartphones.
