Top High Schools in Jacksonville Area for 2024 Ranked by U.S. News & World Report – Action News Jax

Several Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia high schools have been recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s latest ranking of the best high schools in the country. The publication’s “2024 Best High Schools” ranking evaluated 25,000 public high schools across the United States based on six key indicators.

Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville emerged as the highest-ranked school in the greater Jacksonville area, securing the 5th spot in Florida and 55th nationally. Other notable schools in Northeast Florida that made it to the top 100 in the state include Paxon School for Advanced Studies, Darnell Cookman Middle/High School, Ponte Vedra High School, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Samuel W. Wolfson High School, Creekside High School, Allen D. Nease High School, Fleming Island High School, Bartram Trail High School, River City Science Academy, Belmont Academy, and Q.I. Roberts Jr. – Sr. High School.

In Southeast Georgia, Glynn Academy in Brunswick ranked 46th in the state, followed by Camden County High School and Ware County High School. The top spot in the national ranking went to BASIS Peoria in Arizona, with Signature School in Illinois, Tesla STEM High School in Washington, Julia R. Masterman Secondary School in Pennsylvania, and Payton College Preparatory High School in Illinois rounding out the top five.
