Top High Schools in Lehigh Valley According to U.S. News Rankings

U.S. News & World Report has released its latest rankings of public high schools across the country, and four Lehigh Valley schools have made it to the top 100 in Pennsylvania. Lehigh Valley Academy Regional Charter School secured the highest ranking in the region, coming in at 26th in the state, marking an improvement from last year’s 40th position. This is the third consecutive year that the school has achieved this feat.

Southern Lehigh, Saucon Valley, and Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts also made it to the top 100 list. The rankings are determined by evaluating six categories across all schools, including College Readiness, State Assessment Proficiency, State Assessment Performance, College Curriculum Breadth, Underserved Student Performance, and Graduation Rate. Weighted scores for each category are calculated and then converted into an overall score between 0 and 1,000.

Other Lehigh Valley schools that made the list include Nazareth Area, Wilson Area, Parkland, Pen Argyl High School, Whitehall High School, Emmaus High School, Freedom High School, Northwestern Lehigh High School, Northampton Area High School, Liberty High School, Easton Area High School, Executive Education Academy Charter School, Building 21, Northern Lehigh High School, Salisbury High School, Bangor Area High School, Lincoln Leadership Academy, Catasauqua High School, Roberto Clemente Charter School, Innovative Arts Academy, Dieruff High School, and Allen High School.

The top 10 schools in Pennsylvania according to the rankings are Julia R. Masterman Secondary School, Downingtown STEM Academy, Wilkes-Barre Area School District Stem Academy, Conestoga High School, Central High School, Radnor High School, Greater Valley High School, Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12, Upper Saint Clair High School, and Harriton High School.
