Top Maryland Public High Schools Ranked by U.S. News & World Report

Eastern Technical High School in Maryland has been named the top public high school in the state by U.S. News & World Report. Located in Essex, the school also ranked 123rd nationally. The rankings were based on various criteria including college readiness, state assessment proficiency, college curriculum breadth, underserved student performance, and graduation rate.

Eastern Technical High School excelled in several categories, ranking first in the state for college readiness, fifth for college curriculum breadth, third for state assessment proficiency, fifth for state assessment performance, and first for graduation rate. The school tied with Walt Whitman High School, Poolesville High School, and Thomas S. Wootton High School for the top spot in graduation rate.
