In a recent report by U.S. News and World Report, eight New Jersey high schools have made it to the list of the 100 best high schools in the United States in 2024. Among them, High Technology High School in Lincroft stands out as the highest-ranking New Jersey school, coming in at No. 24. Other notable New Jersey high schools that made the national top 100 include Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, which secured the 63rd spot with a 99% graduation rate, a college readiness score of 95.7, and an enrollment of 1,116 students. Additionally, Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro was ranked at 90 nationally, with an enrollment of 675, a 100% graduation rate, and a college readiness score of 93.3.

To compile the list of best high schools, U.S. News and World Report considers six key factors, including college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rate.
