Top Technology News: PM Modi and Elon Musk to Meet Soon, iPhones Warned About Pegasus Spyware

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has announced an upcoming meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The news comes amid speculation of a Tesla factory being established in India. Musk took to Twitter to express his excitement about the meeting, which is scheduled to take place later this month during his visit to the country.

This won’t be the first time Musk and PM Modi have met. In 2015, during PM Modi’s visit to the US, the two had a discussion at Tesla’s California plant about technological and industrial collaboration. It is expected that during this upcoming meeting, Musk will reveal Tesla’s investment plans in India.

In other tech news, Apple has issued warnings to iPhone users in 92 countries, including India, about the potential infiltration of their devices by sophisticated spyware, such as the Pegasus malware developed by the NSO Group in Israel. This move by Apple is part of their ongoing efforts to enhance user security and protect personal privacy against cyber threats.

Additionally, Elon Musk has criticized Meta, the parent company of Facebook, for allegedly withholding precise advertisement metrics. Musk claims that his own platform, formerly known as Twitter and now rebranded as X, outperforms Meta in delivering substantial returns on advertisements. The criticism stemmed from a comment made by one of Musk’s followers, accusing Meta of deceptive practices regarding ad metrics.

Lastly, Dbrand, a company known for its premium device skins, faced backlash over controversial remarks made on social media. The company made a public jest about a customer’s surname, sparking widespread condemnation. Despite the initial outcry, Dbrand chose to maintain its stance, engaging in further contentious exchanges and sharing memes related to the incident.
