Reading Time: < 1 minute

Ezequiel Tovar’s stellar performance led the Colorado Rockies to a thrilling 6-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. Tovar, who hit two home runs and added two singles, drove in four runs to propel his team to victory.

This marked Tovar’s second multihomer game of the season and his 15th multihit game since May 1. After a tough outing on Friday where he went 0 for 5, Tovar expressed his satisfaction with the win, stating, “Winning feels good, it always feels good. It’s hard to win in this league.”

Charlie Blackmon also contributed to the Rockies’ success with three hits and a run scored. The team secured their 15th come-from-behind win and won two games in a series for just the second time this season.

Pitcher Victor Vodnik earned his second career win with 1 2/3 innings of relief, while Tyler Kinley notched his fourth save and second in the series by pitching a scoreless ninth inning.

Despite a strong performance from Matt Carpenter, who homered and scored twice for the Cardinals, the Rockies managed to secure the win. Rockies starter Ryan Feltner also put in a solid performance, allowing no earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

Overall, it was a thrilling game that showcased the Rockies’ resilience and Tovar’s standout performance at the plate. The team will look to carry this momentum into future games as they continue their season.
