Toyota develops new technology for simplified parking

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Toyota, the leading global car manufacturer, has recently patented a groundbreaking new car technology in the USA that could revolutionize the way we park our vehicles. With the ongoing pandemic increasing the demand for private transport, the world is moving towards adopting electric vehicles (EVs) completely. As a result, every manufacturer is striving to introduce unique features to set themselves apart from the competition.

The patent filed by Toyota showcases a futuristic concept where a car can slide sideways into a parallel parking spot without the need for multiple turns. This innovative technology involves all four wheels turning laterally to enable side-ways movement, as well as the ability to rotate for zero turning radius and diagonal movements.

Each wheel is equipped with a special hub motor inside the car’s body, allowing for 360-degree turns. The patent also describes how turn signals can be utilized for new movement angles, making parking and maneuvering in tight spaces a breeze.

While the concept may seem like something out of a sci-fi movie, Toyota is actively working towards implementing this technology in the real world. As the automotive industry shifts towards electric vehicles, breakthrough innovations like this are becoming increasingly important.

With the rise of EVs and the success of companies like Tesla, Toyota is not willing to be left behind. By patenting this new technology, the company is positioning itself as a leader in the future of urban mobility. Customers can expect to see these advancements in action soon, making parking and driving in congested areas much easier and more efficient.
