Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is adding another title to his resume this offseason as he gears up to host a new game show called “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” The 20-episode spin-off of the popular show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” will premiere on Amazon Prime, although an official air date has not yet been announced.
Kelce expressed his excitement about the new gig, stating, “I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are you Smarter than a Celebrity. The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining.”
The format of the show will involve celebrities assisting contestants in answering 11 questions on a variety of subjects, with the final question being at the sixth-grade level and worth a grand prize of $100,000. Kelce’s pop star girlfriend, Taylor Swift, may also make an appearance on the show, as celebrities from “stage, screen, and sports” will be featured.
This is not Kelce’s first foray into television, as he previously had his own reality TV show in 2016 and even hosted “Saturday Night Live” in March 2023. With Kelce’s charismatic personality and comedic timing, viewers can expect the unexpected on “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” as he takes on the role of host.
