The Humboldt Grange No. 501 in Eureka is hosting a special community breakfast event this Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. The theme of the breakfast is “Where Were You in ’92,” commemorating the earthquakes that rocked the North Coast 32 years ago on April 25 and 26, 1992.

In the aftermath of the earthquakes, the North Coast was in mass cleanup mode, with many residents caught unprepared. To help everyone better prepare for future disasters, members of the Redwood Coast Tsunami Work Group and the California State Office of Emergency Services will be on hand to answer questions and provide valuable information. Additionally, the new Shaky Ground magazine will be available for attendees.

The event aims to educate and empower the community to be more resilient in the face of natural disasters. It serves as a reminder of the importance of preparedness and the need to come together as a community in times of crisis.

The breakfast event promises to be informative and engaging, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to learn from experts in the field of emergency preparedness. It is a chance for the community to come together, share experiences, and build a stronger, more resilient North Coast.
