The Iowa Central baseball team made a statement on Wednesday with an impressive doubleheader sweep against Iowa Lakes at Rogers Park. The Tritons, ranked fifth in the nation, showcased their offensive firepower by scoring a combined 46 runs in the two games.

In the first game, Iowa Central dominated Iowa Lakes with a 12-0 victory in just five innings. Pitcher Hunter Frost was stellar on the mound, throwing a four-hitter with six strikeouts. The Tritons’ offense was led by Will Smoot, Harrison Bowman, Jack Mausser, and Jackson Tessman, who all hit home runs to secure the win.

The second game was even more impressive, as Iowa Central exploded for 34 runs in a 34-7 rout of Iowa Lakes. The Tritons scored eight runs in the second inning and never looked back.
