Former President Donald Trump’s legal battles continue as he loses a last-ditch effort to delay his hush money trial just days before the scheduled start date of April 15. Trump had sought to postpone the trial and change the venue out of Manhattan, but a state appeals court judge rejected his argument on Monday.
In addition to the trial, Trump is also fighting to lift a gag order, with arguments set to be heard on Tuesday. The former president has been making various attempts to stall his first of four criminal trials, including suing New York Justice Juan Merchan.
The jury questionnaire for the case was released on the same day, revealing questions about QAnon and Proud Boys affiliation among prospective jurors. Meanwhile, Trump made headlines by releasing a video on Truth Social outlining his policy on abortion.
In the video, Trump claimed credit for ending Roe v. Wade, made false claims about Democrats’ positions on abortion, and expressed support for IVF. However, his stance on abortion has disappointed some figures on the right, including Senator Lindsey Graham.
Despite these legal battles and controversies, Trump remains a prominent figure in American politics, with his actions and statements continuing to generate significant attention and debate.
