Tulsi Gabbard offers to serve as Trump’s Defense Secretary or Secretary of State

Former House Democrat Tulsi Gabbard is making headlines once again, this time for potentially positioning herself for a role in a Donald Trump administration. Gabbard, who has met with the Trump campaign in recent months, hinted at her interest in serving as either secretary of state or defense secretary if Trump is elected president.

During an interview on the Wisconsin-based radio show, Gabbard expressed her desire to find the best way to serve the country, stating, “I think there are a few different ways I could serve, as secretary of state, secretary of defense. There are a few different ways I believe I could best serve our country.”

Gabbard’s political journey has been a rollercoaster, from endorsing Joe Biden after dropping out of the Democratic primary race in 2020 to leaving the Democratic Party in 2022. She has transitioned from being an ally for Bernie Sanders to a right-wing influencer, making appearances on Fox News and at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound.

Despite her independent status, Gabbard has not ruled out formally joining the Republican Party, stating, “We need leaders, whether you’re a Democrat or Republican or independent, to put the interests of our country and the American people first and foremost.”

With her willingness to cross party lines and her interest in serving in a potential Trump administration, Tulsi Gabbard continues to be a political figure to watch as she navigates her next steps in the ever-evolving landscape of American politics.
