Reading Time: < 1 minute

TV presenter Michael Mosley, famous for popularizing the 5:2 diet, has gone missing while on holiday on the Greek island of Symi. A search and rescue operation is currently underway, with a police dog and drone scouring hard-to-reach areas. A helicopter from Athens has also been deployed to assist in the search efforts.

Greek Police reported that Mr. Mosley left his wife on the beach and embarked on a walk to the center of the island on Wednesday. His phone was found in the place he was staying, prompting his wife to report him missing.

The 67-year-old broadcaster, known for his work on programs like Trust Me, I’m A Doctor, The One Show, and This Morning, has not been located despite extensive search efforts. Firefighters, volunteers, and police officers are combing the area, with a drone aiding in the search.

Local residents are puzzled as to why Mr. Mosley would venture out on foot in challenging conditions without his phone, especially in an area known for its rugged terrain. With temperatures expected to soar, the search for Mr. Mosley becomes even more challenging.

The Foreign Office has confirmed they are supporting the family of the missing British man and are in contact with local authorities. As the search continues, friends and colleagues of Mr. Mosley express their concern and hope for his safe return.
