Tyrese Haliburton of the Pacers leaves Game 2 against Celtics due to left leg discomfort

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Indiana Pacers faced a tough loss in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics, with a final score of 126-110. The Pacers were left lamenting a series of late turnovers that marred an otherwise strong performance in the postseason.

All-Star Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers’ top star, suffered a sore left hamstring and a chest injury during the game. Haliburton scored 10 points in 28 minutes but had to leave the game early in the second half and did not return for the fourth quarter. His status for Game 3 is uncertain as the team awaits further evaluation.

Pacers coach Rick Carlisle expressed concern over Haliburton’s injuries, noting that the hamstring issue was a recurring one from earlier in the season. Despite Pascal Siakam stepping up with 28 points in Haliburton’s absence, the Pacers couldn’t contain the Celtics, who went on big runs to secure the win.

The Pacers will now look to regroup as they head back home for Game 3 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. With an impressive 11-game winning streak on their home court, including a perfect record this postseason, the Pacers are hoping to bounce back and even the series.

Siakam emphasized the team’s need to rally together and maintain their energy, regardless of Haliburton’s availability for the next game. The Pacers are determined to continue their strong team play and push back against the Celtics in the upcoming matchup.
