Tyron Woodley, the former UFC welterweight champion, expressed his desire for a different ending to his career in the UFC. Woodley’s reign as champion came to an end in 2019 when he lost his title to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235. Following this defeat, Woodley faced a series of setbacks, including a four-fight losing streak and two boxing matches against Jake Paul.

In a recent interview with Title Sports Network, Woodley revealed his plans to return to MMA and give his fans the performance they deserve. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the environment at the UFC Apex Facility, where his last few fights took place, describing it as “kind of like a sparring session.” Woodley believes that his recent fights felt like exhibition matches and wants to show his true capabilities in the octagon.

Looking ahead to his comeback, Woodley announced the launch of his own sports and entertainment promotion called The Realest International Promotion (TRIP). He also mentioned offers to fighters like Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz for potential matchups with lucrative purses. Despite St-Pierre’s retirement and Diaz’s silence, Woodley remains determined to make a strong return to MMA.

Woodley hinted at a possible fight in the Middle East for the launch of TRIP, where he aims to face a high-profile opponent similar to St-Pierre or Diaz. With his sights set on a successful comeback, Woodley is eager to put a proper close to his MMA career and show the world the Tyron Woodley they know and admire.
