U.S. News ranks USF and UM among top nursing schools in the nation

The University of South Florida’s nursing school has made a significant leap, breaking into the top 25 in a new ranking of the nation’s best graduate nursing programs. According to U.S. News and World Report, USF is now tied for 24th place alongside the University of California-Davis and Rush University for the best nursing graduate program.

On the other hand, the University of Miami’s graduate nursing program dropped two spots to 27th place in the rankings. Despite this slight decline, both universities continue to maintain strong positions in the competitive field of nursing education.

In addition to USF and UM, four other Florida schools also made it into the top 100 in the rankings. Florida International University tied for 34th place, Florida Atlantic University tied for 41st place, Jacksonville University tied for 92nd place with Adelphi University, and Barry University tied for 94th place with Mercer University.

The rankings were based on various factors including the quality and productivity of faculty, grant funding received by the schools, admissions standards, assessments by healthcare professionals and academics, and the number of degrees awarded.
