Daytona Beach has once again proven itself as a top destination, this time for those looking to put down roots in the Sunshine State. The city and its surrounding area have been ranked No. 7 in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Places to Live in Florida for 2023-2024.
The report highlighted the many reasons why Daytona Beach is not only a popular vacation spot but also a great place to live. From fishing and golfing to the thrill of racing at the Daytona International Speedway, there is no shortage of activities for residents to enjoy. Additionally, the city offers a wide range of cultural amenities, including museums, theaters, antique markets, restaurants, malls, and colleges.
Lori Campbell Baker, executive director for the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, expressed her pride in the region’s recognition, stating that the same amenities that attract millions of visitors each year are what make residents proud to call Daytona Beach home.
Residents of Daytona Beach also have the unique opportunity to drive on designated sections of the beach, adding to the city’s appeal. In addition to being named one of the top places to live in Florida, Daytona Beach was also recognized as the 49th Best Place to Live in the U.S. and the No. 8 Best Place to Retire. It was also recently named one of the 10 Best Beach Towns to Retire in the U.S.
With its stunning beaches, world-class attractions, and vibrant arts and culture scene, it’s no wonder Daytona Beach continues to receive accolades as a top place to live and retire.
