Rochester Institute of Technology’s graduate degree programs have once again been recognized as some of the best in the nation, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

In the 2024 edition of the U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools, RIT’s Saunders College of Business stood out, tying for 97th place among the top full-time MBA programs. This year, the rankings saw a shift in methodology, with a greater emphasis placed on post-graduate earnings. The rankings now take into account how each school’s post-graduate salaries compare across different professions, highlighting the impact of business schools on their graduates’ starting salaries.

However, the publication of this year’s best engineering schools has been delayed due to concerns about new ranking indicators related to bibliometric data and affiliated institutions. Similarly, results for the best medical schools are also under review.

U.S. News & World Report annually ranks graduate programs in six fields – business, education, engineering, law, medicine, and nursing – providing valuable information for prospective students. The rankings are based on various factors such as enrollment numbers, job placement rates, faculty statistics, and academic reputation.

RIT’s computer science MS program in the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences also received recognition, tying for 70th place in the nation. The rankings are based on peer assessment data from deans, program directors, senior faculty, and professionals who hire or work with new graduates.
