U.S. News World Report ranks University of Tennessee graduate schools

The University of Tennessee at Knoxville’s graduate programs and schools have received high rankings in the latest report from U.S. News and World Report. The “2024-2025 Best Graduate Schools” report, released on April 9, highlights the top programs and schools across public and private universities nationwide.

Among the top-ranked programs at UT Knoxville are supply chain and printmaking, both securing the fourth position nationally. The nuclear engineering program follows closely at seventh place. Additionally, UT’s library and information studies programs, including school library media and digital librarianship, have also been recognized, with rankings ranging from 10th to 14th place.

In terms of specific schools, UT’s College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Social Work, Haslam College of Business, College of Law, Physics, and Tickle College of Engineering have all made it to the national rankings, with positions ranging from 21st to 55th.

When focusing on public universities, UT Knoxville’s graduate programs continue to shine. The Haslam College of Business ranks 22nd for full-time graduate school programs, with the supply chain program securing the third spot. Other notable rankings include the College of Social Work at 13th, the College of Nursing’s doctoral program at 24th, and the College of Law at 26th among public universities.

Dean of the Graduate School, Dixie Thompson, expressed pride in UT’s exceptional graduate programs, attributing the success to the commitment to excellence by faculty, staff, and students.
