Dubai Launches Program to Provide Scholarships for Outstanding Emirati Students in Private Schools
In a bid to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors, Dubai has introduced the “Dubai Program for Outstanding Students,” offering over 400 seats for Emirati students at various educational levels in private schools for the upcoming academic year. These seats come with scholarships covering 50% of the tuition fees, providing exceptional educational opportunities for talented students.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the Knowledge Fund Establishment, and nine private schools in Dubai have joined hands to sign cooperation agreements aimed at providing quality education for outstanding Emirati students for the 2024-2025 academic year. These agreements mark a significant step towards strengthening public-private partnerships to offer high-quality educational opportunities for Emirati students in Dubai.
Parents of Emirati students holding a Dubai-issued family book can register for the program from May 20 to June 5, 2024, through the KHDA website. The program encompasses various curricula, including the British, International Baccalaureate, and American systems, catering to a diverse range of educational needs.
The Dubai Program for Outstanding Students is part of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, aiming to foster partnerships between the public and private sectors to provide exceptional educational opportunities for Emirati students. By 2030, the program aims to offer a total of 1,800 seats in the best private schools in Dubai, nurturing the talents of future leaders across various sectors of development.
Ayesha Abdullah Miran, Director General of KHDA in Dubai, emphasized the program’s role in ensuring that Emirati students in private schools receive top-rated education, contributing to the development of outstanding talents within Dubai’s comprehensive growth journey. She expressed gratitude to the Knowledge Fund Establishment for their support and encouraged more private schools to join the initiative, furthering Dubai’s educational goals and preparing future leaders.

To enroll in the program, students must be Emirati nationals holding a Dubai-issued family book, enrolled in grades 4 to 10 in a public or private school in the UAE, and meet specific academic criteria based on their curriculum. Participating schools will cover 50% of the annual tuition fees, ensuring that students receive the highest quality educational services.
