UAE President and King of Bahrain hold talks on close relations and regional progress – Global News

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain met in Abu Dhabi to discuss the strong fraternal relations between their countries and ways to further strengthen ties for mutual benefit.

The meeting, held today, focused on key regional and international developments, with both leaders exchanging views on various issues of common interest. They expressed their hope that the upcoming 33rd Arab Summit, to be hosted by Bahrain on 16th May and led by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, would result in constructive outcomes and decisions that enhance Arab solidarity and unity.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of developing the Arab world’s capabilities and potential, safeguarding national security, and promoting progress and sustainable development. They called for calm in the Middle East, urging diplomatic solutions and dialogue to resolve disputes and avoid military escalation.

In light of the recent events in the Gaza Strip, President Sheikh Mohamed and King Hamad called on the international community to take immediate action to implement a ceasefire to protect civilian lives and provide essential humanitarian aid without hindrance. They stressed the need for a genuine political solution to achieve a just and comprehensive regional peace, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the two-state solution.

The leaders also underscored the significance of continued consultation and coordination based on a unified strategic vision to serve the interests of their countries and peoples. They emphasized the importance of strengthening Gulf and Arab brotherhood and promoting international cooperation to advance peace, coexistence, and human fraternity.

During his visit to the UAE, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed his pride in the historical ties that bind the leadership and people of Bahrain with the UAE. He conveyed his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the UAE.

The meeting between President Sheikh Mohamed and King Hamad highlights the close relationship between the UAE and Bahrain and their shared commitment to regional stability and cooperation. As both countries work together to address common challenges and opportunities, their partnership serves as a model for collaboration and unity in the Gulf region.
