UAE President and Romanian Prime Minister Hold Talks on Strengthening Bilateral Relations, Witness Signing of Two Memoranda of Understanding

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed His Excellency Ion-Marcel Ciolacu, Prime Minister of Romania, to the UAE during his working visit. The two leaders discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation in various sectors, including economy, trade, renewable energy, food security, and technology.

They also addressed regional and international issues of common interest, focusing on reducing escalation in the Middle East and achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed emphasized the UAE’s commitment to developing relations with Romania and investing in opportunities for cooperation.

Prime Minister Ciolacu expressed Romania’s interest in deepening its ties with the UAE, particularly in economic and investment fields. The leaders witnessed the signing of two memoranda of understanding in artificial intelligence, digital economy, and telecommunications regulation.

The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials from both countries, including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and several UAE ministers. The Romanian delegation also included ministers and senior officials accompanying the Prime Minister.

The visit highlighted the strong and growing relationship between the UAE and Romania, with a focus on mutual development and prosperity. Both countries are committed to strengthening their economic, trade, and investment partnerships to serve their common interests and promote growth.
