UAE President hosts official reception for Sultan of Oman

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan rolled out the red carpet for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman during his state visit to the UAE. The grand reception at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi was a spectacle of Emirati hospitality and Omani pride.

As His Majesty Sultan Haitham arrived, he was greeted by a majestic procession of riders on Arabian horses and camels, accompanied by traditional Emirati folk performances. The atmosphere was electric with excitement and celebration.

The highlight of the official reception ceremony was the inspection of the guard of honour by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and His Majesty Sultan Haitham, followed by the stirring performances of the UAE and Omani national anthems. The sky lit up with a 21-gun artillery salute and a mesmerizing flypast by the UAE Air Force aerobatics team Al Fursan, showcasing the colors of the Omani flag.

The streets of Abu Dhabi were adorned with Omani flags, welcoming messages, and the cheers of Emirati children waving flags of both nations. The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of UAE officials, including Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, His Majesty Sultan Haitham’s visit symbolizes the strong bond between the UAE and Oman. The visit is not only a diplomatic affair but also a celebration of the rich cultural heritage and friendship shared between the two nations.
