UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has honoured eight individuals for their remarkable contributions to communities across the UAE at the 11th edition of the Abu Dhabi Awards. The ceremony took place at Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi, where Sheikh Mohamed conveyed his congratulations to all honourees, recognizing their inspiring efforts and significant contributions in service to society.
The Abu Dhabi Awards celebrated individuals who have positively impacted the UAE in fields such as education, sustainability, medicine, humanitarian relief, community awareness, and the empowerment of People of Determination. Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the timeless values of giving, compassion, and altruism embodied by the recipients, highlighting their positive impact on UAE society.
Among the honourees were pioneers like Amna Khalifa Al Qemzi in organic agriculture, Dr Ahmed Osman Shatila in neurology, and Imen Sfaxi, who bravely assisted in a fire incident. Other recipients included Salaamah Saif Al Teneij, Klaithem Obaid Al Matrooshi, Mezna Matar Al Mansoori, Saeed Naseeb Al Mansoori, and John Sexton, all recognized for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields.
The Abu Dhabi Awards, established in 2005, aim to inspire the community to perform acts of goodness and make positive contributions to society. They have recognized 100 individuals from 17 different nationalities for their valuable contributions in various fields, showcasing the diverse and impactful work being done to advance the UAE’s society and heritage.
