UAE vehemently denounces Israeli forces’ invasion and takeover of Rafah border crossing – Global outcry

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the recent invasion and seizure of the Rafah border crossing in southern Gaza by Israeli forces. The UAE has expressed deep concern over the military escalation that could lead to the loss of innocent lives and worsen the already dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the UAE emphasized the importance of ensuring the safe and unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. The UAE also denounced any forced displacement of the Palestinian people and called for respect of international legitimacy and humanitarian law.

The UAE has called on the international community to take immediate action to reach a ceasefire in order to prevent further loss of life and avoid escalating the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The UAE also warned against the risk of regional spill-over that could lead to more violence, tension, and instability.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the mediation efforts of Qatar and Egypt to reach a ceasefire and expressed hope that it would bring an end to the conflict and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people. The UAE reiterated its support for a two-state solution with an independent Palestinian state and stressed the urgent need for a political resolution to achieve comprehensive peace in the region.

The UAE’s position on the conflict in Gaza underscores the importance of returning to negotiations to address the root causes of the conflict and find a sustainable solution. The UAE called for an end to tensions and violence, while ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of aid to the people of Gaza.

As the situation in Gaza continues to escalate, the UAE remains committed to supporting efforts to bring about peace and stability in the region. The UAE’s condemnation of the recent events in Gaza reflects its commitment to upholding international law and promoting peace and security in the Middle East.
