UAE warmly receives 16th group of injured Palestinian children and cancer patients

The United Arab Emirates continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to providing medical assistance to those in need, as the 16th group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients arrived in the UAE on Saturday. This initiative, in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to provide treatment for 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip at the UAE’s top-notch hospitals.

The group, consisting of 25 patients in urgent need of medical assistance and accompanied by 51 family members, departed from Al Arish International Airport in Egypt and landed at Zayed International Airport. Upon arrival, medical teams swiftly transferred the wounded and those requiring immediate care to hospitals for treatment, while others were taken to their residence in the Emirates Humanitarian City.

The UAE’s hospitals are known for providing the highest levels of healthcare, reflecting the country’s commitment to supporting those in need. The families of the patients and the wounded expressed their gratitude to the UAE and its wise leadership for this noble humanitarian initiative, which exemplifies solidarity and support between sister nations. Since the onset of the crisis in the Gaza Strip, the UAE has been at the forefront of providing humanitarian aid and relief supplies to the Palestinian people through the “Chivalrous Knight 3” humanitarian operation. In addition to the medical assistance provided in the UAE, the country has also established a 150-bed field hospital in Gaza and a Floating Hospital in Al Arish port, equipped with essential medical facilities to cater to the needs of the patients.
