UAE’s Community Development Authority initiates relief campaign on ‘Jood’ platform to aid those affected by heavy rains

Dubai’s Community Development Authority (CDA) has launched the ‘Tadhamon’ campaign under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aimed at providing immediate assistance to those affected by heavy rains in the region. The initiative, launched under the umbrella of the ‘Committee for Assisting Weather-Affected Citizens in Dubai’, allows private sector entities, businesspeople, and members of society to contribute towards helping individuals whose homes and properties were impacted by adverse weather conditions.

The campaign, integrated into the CDA’s ‘Jood’ platform, enables seamless participation and monitoring of the progress. Real-time updates on support requirements and accomplishments will be easily accessible, ensuring maximum benefit for those in need. Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, highlighted the unity and resilience of the Emirati society in times of crisis, with numerous requests for contributions pouring in from businesses and individuals eager to help.

Financial contributions through the ‘Jood’ platform will assist individuals affected by the weather conditions, including those registered with the CDA and other participating entities. The platform serves as a pioneering channel for community contributions, fostering collaboration among relevant authorities to advance social support programmes in Dubai. The ‘Committee for Assisting Weather-Affected Citizens in Dubai’, chaired by Omar Bushahab, CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, is tasked with promptly addressing requests from citizens affected by the recent rains to ensure efficient handling of their concerns and needs.
