The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has taken a significant step towards improving the working conditions and rights of military department members in Dubai. Through the issuance of Resolution No. 1 of 2024, the grievances and complaints system in the military departments has been officially approved.
The resolution has set out several objectives to be achieved, including governing the procedures of the military department committees in accordance with the law, organizing the filing process for grievances and complaints, and connecting it to the Central Committee as per the provisions of Decree No. 27 of 2018. This move aims to ensure that members’ legal rights are safeguarded, and justice, job satisfaction, and stability are maintained within the working environment.
One of the key aspects of the resolution is to improve the operational performance of the committees and align their indicators with those of the government and Central Committee. By creating a favorable environment within the department and reducing the need to escalate complaints to the Central Committee, the resolution seeks to handle any concerns or grievances from members efficiently.
Members are now able to register complaints and grievances without facing administrative obstacles, and the department is encouraged to address conflicts and settle issues promptly to the satisfaction of all parties involved. Requests will be processed according to internal procedures, ensuring that the process remains professional and objective while respecting the essence of the grievance or complaint.
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department highlighted that the establishment of the grievances and complaints system in the military departments is part of its ongoing efforts to improve job satisfaction, guarantee stability in working environments, and safeguard employment rights as per relevant laws. This move is expected to enhance overall governance and streamline the grievance process, providing a seamless experience for all parties involved and boosting administrative efficiency.
In addition to the approval of the grievances and complaints system, the department recently unveiled the ‘Military Legal Inquiries Platform,’ a digital portal dedicated to military human resources legislation. This platform offers a range of services, including the ability to respond to legal inquiries related to military human resources legislation and facilitate communication among specialists to submit their opinions on legal matters objectively.
Overall, the approval of the grievances and complaints system in the Dubai military departments marks a significant milestone in enhancing the rights and working conditions of members. With a focus on improving governance, ensuring justice, and streamlining the grievance process, the resolution is set to have a positive impact on the overall functioning of the military departments in Dubai.
