University of Chicago Secures First-Ever NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis National Championship

The University of Chicago Maroons made history today by capturing their first NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis National Championship. In a thrilling final match against Wesleyan (CT) at the Dwight Davis Memorial Tennis Center in St. Louis, the Maroons emerged victorious, capping off a remarkable season.

Having been runners-up in the past two seasons, the Maroons were determined to claim the title this year. With a 22-1 overall record and a 15-match winning streak coming into the championship match, they faced a formidable opponent in Wesleyan, who entered the match undefeated at 22-0.
