University of Cincinnati Law Climbs to #78 in U.S. News & World Report Rankings, Demonstrating Strong Progress

The University of Cincinnati College of Law has achieved national recognition, securing the #78 spot in the latest rankings released by U.S. News & World Report. This accomplishment solidifies its position as the second highest-ranked law school in Ohio, marking a significant improvement over previous years and highlighting the continued positive momentum at Cincinnati Law.

Dean Haider Ala Hamoudi, Nippert Professor of Law, expressed his excitement about the College’s progress, stating, “I am pleased by the improvement in our US News rankings to 78th overall, our highest ranking in the past six years. This is an improvement of six spots over last year. We believe this positive trajectory reflects our increased investment in our students and their success, as evidenced by our high bar passage and employment rates.”

Established in 1833, Cincinnati Law is the nation’s fourth oldest continuously operating law school, alongside prestigious institutions such as Harvard and Yale. The school has a rich legacy of producing leaders who have made significant contributions in government, the judiciary, Fortune 500 corporations, major law firms, and non-governmental organizations. Cincinnati Law was also the first law school to establish a center dedicated to the study of international human rights and is home to one of the most successful Innocence Projects in the global movement to combat wrongful convictions.
