The East Point Convention and Visitors Bureau in Georgia made a grand announcement during National Travel and Tourism Week, unveiling a new logo and series of programming on the steps of City Hall. The new logo features a plane flying east, symbolizing the direction of East Point and paying homage to the nearby Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Where the World Meets,” emphasizing the bureau’s role in revitalizing East Point, boosting its economy, and rebuilding its community on a global scale. The event included a proclamation from Mayor Deana Holiday Ingraham and remarks from various key figures in the tourism industry.

Throughout the week, a range of activities and events were planned, including a kick-off celebration at the GA Renaissance Festival, city tours, music and culture celebrations, and an open house at the bureau’s headquarters. The goal of these events is to showcase East Point as a premier travel destination and drive growth for local businesses and stakeholders in the travel sector.

President Chantel Ross-Francois expressed the bureau’s commitment to supporting the travel community year-round through strategic initiatives and global partnerships.
