US Teacher Allegedly Engaged in Inappropriate Behavior with 11-Year-Old Student Prior to Wedding

A shocking case has emerged in Wisconsin, where a 24-year-old elementary school teacher, Madison Bergmann, has been accused of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with an 11-year-old student just three months before her wedding. The allegations include first-degree child sexual assault involving a child under 13.

The complaint, filed in St Croix County, revealed disturbing details of the interactions between Ms. Bergmann and the 5th-grade student at River Crest Elementary School in Hudson. Authorities were provided with screenshots of text exchanges between the victim and Ms. Bergmann, where she allegedly expressed enjoyment in “making out” with the child and him touching her.

Police reports suggest that these encounters took place within the school premises, during lunch breaks or after school hours. A folder with handwritten notes detailing their physical interactions was found in Ms. Bergmann’s bag, with the victim’s name on it.

The timeline of the abuse remains unclear, but it was revealed that Ms. Bergmann obtained the child’s phone number from his mother during a winter break trip in December, the same month she got engaged to her long-time boyfriend. She was set to get married three months later in July.

The school’s Principal, Kimberly Osterhues, expressed shock and concern over the news, stating that the well-being of the school community and affected children is their primary concern. Ms. Bergmann has been released on a $25,000 bond and is prohibited from entering school premises or attending school events. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 30th.
