USA Artistic Swimming Announces Roster for Paris Olympics

The United States artistic swimming team has officially announced the roster that will represent the country at the upcoming Paris Olympics. After qualifying for the Games earlier this year at the World Championships in Doha, the team has selected eight athletes to compete in Paris next month.

Leading the roster is Anita Alvarez, who will be making her third Olympic appearance. She will be joined by Daniella Ramirez, Megumi Field, Jamie Czarkowski, Jacklyn Luu, Audrey Kwon, Keana Hunter, and Ruby Remati, with Calista Liu serving as the team’s alternate.

This year’s Olympics will feature mixed-gender teams for the first time, allowing up to two men on the roster. Despite being a strong candidate, veteran Bill May was not named to the final squad, as the smaller roster size for Olympic competition required tough decisions.

Head coach Andrea Fuentes expressed pride in the selection process, stating, “To select the final eight athletes plus one alternate, we created an environment designed to detect the highest levels of the values that define our team philosophy. Combined with their physical and technical abilities, this process led us to select the team that will best represent the US in the Olympics.”

The athletes are gearing up for the Games with confidence and determination. Alvarez, in particular, is looking forward to her third Olympic appearance and believes in the team’s potential for success.
