Reading Time: < 1 minute

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has unveiled its new seven-acre campus, Golf House Pinehurst, located near the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club main clubhouse. The grand opening celebration was attended by various dignitaries, including representatives from the State of North Carolina, Moore County, and the Village of Pinehurst.

The new campus features the USGA Experience, an interactive exhibit showcasing the organization’s work in golf governance and advancement. Visitors can also explore the World Golf Hall of Fame, the USGA Golf Museum Special Exhibitions, and the Research and Test Center dedicated to testing golf equipment for compliance with the Rules of Golf.

Additionally, Golf House Pinehurst includes outdoor attractions such as The Glade, a learning landscape promoting sustainability in golf, and The Grove, a restoration of the native longleaf pine forest. The campus also houses the USGA Shop, where golfers can purchase merchandise featuring the USGA championship logo.

The establishment of Golf House Pinehurst was made possible through a collaborative effort involving various economic development entities. The USGA’s long-term presence in Pinehurst is projected to have a significant economic impact, with estimates exceeding $2 billion for the state of North Carolina.

The campus will be home to 70 full-time USGA employees, including experts in championship operations, equipment standards, player development, and green section management. The USGA Experience and World Golf Hall of Fame will be open to the public with free admission throughout the month of June.

With the announcement of 12 future championships at Pinehurst Resort, including the 2024 U.S. Open and the 2029 back-to-back U.S. Women’s Open and U.S. Open, Golf House Pinehurst is set to become a hub for golf enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.
