Reading Time: < 1 minute

If anyone in your household had a Marketplace plan in 2023, it is important to keep an eye out for Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace® Statement, which will be sent to you by mail no later than mid-February. This form contains crucial information about the Marketplace plans that anyone in your household had in 2023.

It is essential to have your Form 1095-A before filing your taxes, as it includes details such as premiums paid, premium tax credits used, and other important information. The form will be available in your Marketplace account from mid-January to February 1.

To access your 1095-A online, log in to your account, select your 2023 application, and then choose “Tax Forms” to download all 1095-As. It is recommended to keep your 1095-A forms with other important tax documents like W-2 forms.

If you find any discrepancies or errors on your 1095-A, make sure to contact the Marketplace Call Center for assistance. Additionally, ensure that the information about the “second lowest cost Silver Plan” (SLCSP) is accurate on your form.

By using the information from your 1095-A, you can accurately fill out Form 8962, Premium Tax Credit, to reconcile any differences in the premium tax credit you used and the amount you qualify for. Remember to check the instructions on the back of the form and reach out for help if needed to ensure a smooth tax filing process.
