Valencia County News-Bulletin Presents: Sports Camps in 2024

The summer sports season is in full swing with a variety of camps and clinics being offered for young athletes in the Valencia County area. From basketball to cheerleading, there is something for everyone to enjoy and improve their skills.

One of the highlights of the summer is the Lady Tigers Youth Basketball Camp, taking place at the Los Lunas High School gymnasium on June 3 and 4. The camp offers fundamental drills, contests, and team games for girls in first through eighth grade. The cost is $50 per camper, with a family discount available.

For those interested in football, the Belen Eagles are hosting the Friday Night Lights Youth Football Camp on June 14. Participants will learn football fundamentals from the BHS Eagles, including catching, throwing, blocking, and tackling. The cost is $30 per camper, which includes a T-shirt.

In addition to basketball and football, there are also opportunities for youth to participate in wrestling, volleyball, cheerleading, soccer, tennis, cross country, and golf camps and clinics throughout the summer.
