Variety and “Entertainment Tonight” Join Forces for Official Golden Globes Digital Red Carpet Pre-Show

As the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards approach, Variety and “Entertainment Tonight” have announced an exciting partnership to produce the official digital red carpet pre-show for the highly anticipated event. The awards ceremony is set to air live on CBS and Paramount+ on January 7.

The digital pre-show will kick off at 3:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on Variety’s digital and social platforms, ETOnline.com, the Golden Globe Awards website, and the digital platforms of 20 other publications owned by Penske Media Corp. The official pre-show will be hosted by Variety’s Marc Malkin and Angelique Jackson, along with “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Rachel Smith. The trio will interview A-list celebrities as they arrive at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the ceremony, providing viewers with exclusive footage of stars walking the red carpet.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Golden Globes and ET on covering the buzziest red carpet in Hollywood,” said Variety’s co-editor-in-chiefs Ramin Setoodeh and Cynthia Littleton. “We can’t wait to give viewers around the world a front-row seat from the first stop of awards season.”

Comedian Jo Koy is set to host the Globes, making his debut as the host of a major awards show. With Variety and “Entertainment Tonight” teaming up for the official pre-show, fans can expect an exciting and star-studded event to kick off the award season in style.
