Venturi Partners Invests $27 Million in K12 Techno

Venturi Partners, a growth equity firm specializing in consumer investments across India and Southeast Asia, has made a significant move by acquiring a USD 27 million stake in K12 Techno Services from Navneet Learning LLP, a subsidiary of Navneet Education Limited.

In a recent stock exchange filing, Navneet Education announced the divestment of a 5.12% stake in K12 Techno to Venturi Partners for INR 225.18 crores. This investment, made out of Venturi’s USD 180 million maiden fund, will see the firm joining hands with existing shareholders like Peak XV Partners, Kedaara Capital, Sofina Ventures, and Navneet Learning LLP to support the management team led by Jai Decosta, CEO of K12 Techno.

K12 Techno Services, established in 2010, is a prominent education service provider in India, known for offering a wide range of academic support, services, and solutions to schools. The company operates the Orchids International School chain, with a presence in major cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Gurugram, providing management services to ICSE and CBSE curriculum schools from kindergarten to X-XII under the ‘Orchid’ brand.

Jai Decosta, CEO of K12 Techno, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that it will bring them closer to their mission of shaping a brighter future through holistic learning experiences. With a focus on leveraging technology and tailored learning methodologies for the Indian market, K12 Techno aims to expand its impact and enhance educational outcomes.

Venturi Partners’ Founding Partner, Nicholas Cator, emphasized the alignment of values between the firm and K12 Techno, highlighting their shared goal of utilizing technology to deliver top-notch holistic learning experiences at scale. This investment marks another significant addition to Venturi’s portfolio of consumer-focused investments in India and Southeast Asia, alongside companies like Livspace, Country Delight, and DALI.
