Noa Argamani, the Chinese-born Israeli citizen who was tragically kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7, has been rescued after eight months in captivity. The emotional moment of her reunion with her father, Yakov, was captured on camera and shared on social media. The pair shared a heartwarming embrace and even enjoyed a moment together with Coca Colas in a hospital room at the Sheba Medical Center near Tel Aviv.
Argamani expressed her gratitude and happiness at being rescued in phone calls with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. She mentioned how she hadn’t heard Hebrew in so long and was moved by the experience of being back in her home country.
Israeli forces conducted a complex mission to rescue Argamani and three other hostages who were kidnapped from the Nova music festival. The rescue operation targeted Hamas-run buildings in central Gaza’s Nuseirat. Argamani had become a symbol of the violence and terror faced by Israelis during the October 7 attack, which resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people and the kidnapping of 250 others.
Argamani’s mother, Liora, who is battling stage four brain cancer, had publicly expressed her hope to see her daughter again. In a letter to President Biden, she pleaded for her daughter’s freedom so she could have one last hug with her only child. The rescue operation also freed Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv, while Argamani’s boyfriend, Avinatan Or, remains among the 116 still held captive by Hamas.
