Video Shows Tornado Spotted Near Pittsburgh in Finleyville During Pennsylvania Warning

A tornado was spotted in Finleyville near Pittsburgh as tornado warning was issued for several areas of Pennsylvania, including South Park, Jefferson Hills, and Clairton. The warnings were issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) regional office asking people to not flock into public places. Local storm chasers captured the footage of a massive twister moving through an undisclosed place in Finleyville on Saturday.

The weather agency informed about the tornado warning in place for Pennsylvania’s Newton, Elizabeth, and Collingburg. “Tornado Warning continues for West Newton PA, Elizabeth PA and Collinsburg PA until 6:45 PM EDT,” it wrote through its official account on X.

Meanwhile, the chance of showers is highly likely in Pennsylvania till Saturday night, mainly between midnight and 1 am, per local time. The NWS forecast mentioned that tonight’s weather is expected to be mostly cloudy with a low temperature of around 45 degrees Fahrenheit. A south wind is anticipated to blow at a speed of 7 to 9 miles per hour. There is a 60 per cent chance of precipitation, with new precipitation amounts estimated to range between a quarter and half of an inch.

“Went to my niece’s 1st bday party… Ended up watching a tornado,” a user wrote on X while sharing the footage of the tornado. It is to be noted that the damages to infrastructure or anyone getting injured are expected to be officially confirmed once the weather returns to normalcy. A thorough inspection by the NWS Pittsburgh to understand the extent of damages is going to be carried out soon.
