Vietnam aims to boost the development of competent entrepreneurs by creating a favorable business environment, as highlighted in a recent conference organized by the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee. Nguyễn Trọng Nghĩa, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, emphasized the importance of supporting entrepreneurs and the business community in the country.

The conference, held in collaboration with the Central Committee’s Economic Commission and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aimed to implement the Poliburo’s Resolution No 41-NQ/TW, focusing on promoting the roles of Vietnamese entrepreneurs. Nghĩa stressed the need for policies that encourage ethical business practices and uphold the national spirit.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Trần Duy Đông outlined the government’s ambitious goals, including having at least ten Vietnamese billionaires listed globally by 2030 and doubling the number of enterprises to two million. These enterprises are expected to significantly contribute to the country’s GDP, job creation, and export value.

Vietnam also aims to increase the number of women-owned enterprises and those with high brand value, while developing a contingent of entrepreneurs aligned with national development goals by 2045. Efforts will be made to promote ethical business practices, national spirit, and cooperation between different sectors.

Currently, Vietnam boasts six billionaires, including prominent figures like Phạm Nhật Vượng and Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo. With over 920,000 enterprises in operation, the country is on track to reach its target of one million enterprises by the end of this year and 1.5 million by 2025.

The government’s focus on supporting entrepreneurs and fostering a conducive business environment reflects Vietnam’s commitment to economic growth and development in the coming years.
