Vietnamese tourists rank third in Southeast Asia for readiness to travel abroad

Vietnamese tourists are showing a strong desire to travel abroad this summer, with their sentiment index ranking third in Southeast Asia, according to a report by the Outbox Company. The outbound travel sentiment score for the Vietnamese market reached 124.9 points, surpassing Thailand and Malaysia.

Despite economic challenges, Vietnamese travelers are eager to explore international destinations, with 79.7% planning trips for this summer. The survey results indicate that 64.4% of Vietnamese tourists prefer nearby destinations within Asia, with popular choices including South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and the emerging destination of China.

Interestingly, Vietnamese tourists show a preference for short getaways, with 71.5% opting for overseas trips lasting less than a week. The peak period for summer outbound tourism is expected to be in June and July this year, highlighting the increasing significance of travel for Vietnamese individuals.

Moreover, 31% of respondents are willing to spend more on travel experiences, indicating a growing interest in exploring new destinations and activities. With travel becoming a priority for many Vietnamese, the outbound tourism market in the country continues to demonstrate resilience and positive growth potential.

Overall, Vietnamese tourists are ready and excited to embark on new adventures abroad, showcasing their enthusiasm for travel and exploration.
