Virat Kohli surpasses 1,000 runs in IPL matches against these teams

Virat Kohli’s stellar performance in the recent IPL match against Punjab Kings has not only secured a win for Royal Challengers Bangalore but also marked a significant milestone in his career. Kohli’s brilliant 92-run knock from 47 balls helped RCB post a formidable total of 241/7, leading to a 60-run victory over PBKS.

In this match, Kohli surpassed 1,000 runs against Punjab Kings, becoming only the second player in IPL history to achieve this feat. The first player to achieve this milestone was David Warner, who has 1,134 runs against PBKS. Kohli’s record now stands at 1,030 runs from 32 matches at an average of 35.51, with five fifties and a century to his name.

Apart from his achievement against PBKS, Kohli also joins the elite club of players with 1,000-plus runs against Delhi Capitals in the IPL. Alongside Rohit Sharma, Kohli has amassed 1,030 runs from 28 matches at an impressive average of 51.50, with 10 half-centuries to his credit.

Furthermore, Kohli has also become the second player in IPL history to surpass 1,000 runs against Chennai Super Kings, following in the footsteps of Shikhar Dhawan. With 1,006 runs against CSK at an average of 37.25, Kohli’s consistency and dominance in the IPL are evident.

With these remarkable achievements, Kohli continues to solidify his position as one of the greatest batsmen in IPL history, showcasing his talent and skill on the cricket field.
