Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne proved to be a tough critic when the mother-daughter duo worked together on the Broadway musical ‘The Outsiders’. Angelina, who served as the lead producer on the show, revealed that 15-year-old Vivienne was her “really tough assistant” during the production process.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Angelina shared that Vivienne, who has a deep love for theatre, took her role very seriously and wasn’t afraid to correct her mother when needed. Angelina even compared Vivienne to her own mother, Marcheline Bertrand, praising her for being supportive of other creatives and dedicated to her work.

Vivienne’s involvement in ‘The Outsiders’ was the reason Angelina decided to join the project, as it allowed her to reconnect with her first love for theatre. The musical, based on S. E. Hinton’s novel, made its Broadway debut to much anticipation and excitement.

The mother-daughter duo recently attended the red carpet premiere of the musical in New York, showcasing their support for the production. ‘The Outsiders’ has a rich history, previously being adapted into a movie in 1983 starring Tom Cruise and Patrick Swayze.

Angelina expressed her enthusiasm for the new adaptation of the beloved story and her eagerness to share it with the world. With Vivienne by her side, it seems the Jolie-Pitt family is making waves in the world of theatre.
