The Breeze coverage area has seen some outstanding performances from student-athletes in the past month, and now it’s time for readers to decide who will earn the top honors for April. The nominees for Athlete of the Month include a diverse group of talented individuals from various sports.

Nolan Tantay, a senior from Mariner Tritons, impressed with his weightlifting skills, taking home the FHSAA 2A-14 District Championship at 199-pounds in the Olympic class. Emily Feichthaler, a sophomore from Oasis Sharks, helped her tennis team remain undefeated with a stellar performance in singles and doubles matches.

Evyette Osme, a senior from Ida Baker Bulldogs, played a crucial role in leading her flag football team to victory with an impressive display of skills on both offense and defense. Justin Davis, a junior from Bishop Verot Vikings, dominated the FHSAA Region 1A-4 Championships in weightlifting and traditional lifting categories.

Tanner Goff, a sophomore from Oasis Sharks, showcased his pitching prowess in a commanding win over Golden Gate. Abigail Cudnik, a junior from Cape Coral Seahawks, led her lacrosse team to victory with a remarkable performance despite playing through injuries.

Noel Davis and Abigail Haynes, both juniors from North Fort Myers Red Knights, displayed exceptional skills in track and softball respectively, earning them nominations for Athlete of the Month.
